Auckland International Film Festival

Auckland International Film Festival is more than just a film festival – it represents the strong connection among filmmakers and movie fans across the globe. We are committed to bringing audiences high quality films to experience on the big screen, with the people who made them.

AIFF strives to be a year-round festival curated by a team of experts from the film industry who believe that art is the best lens to capture creative genius. We believe that films are a powerful medium to convey important messages to large audiences and we accept all genres of films from across the globe.

We salute the brave and talented independent film-makers who demonstrate mastery in their craft and support them by reviewing, judging, marketing, distributing, offering exposure and networking opportunities. Our aim is to overcome the obstacles which can hinder artists’ ability to create their work.

The AIFF celebrates and connects the four ‘greats’ of filmmaking - great films, great film-makers, great audiences and great experiences.
