Katherine’s childhood ballet gave way to cello; now she is a professional cellist in the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra, with a busy teaching schedule for adults and children. Katherine and her husband began Scottish country dancing at Innes Club, Ellerslie, in 2012, and were accepted for the Advanced Class in the annual Summer School at St Andrews, Scotland in 2019.
