Acceptance to AYA Drama School Sundays at TAPAC is by audition only. If you are a drama kid who wants to find your tribe apply HERE.
AYA Directors and busy industry professionals, Jacque Drew and Jeff Szusterman, create, alongside guest tutors, a nurturing environment for young drama artists to find their tribe. Established in 1994, AYA Drama is an independent drama school that provides training and professional opportunities for talented child actors.
Students are prepared in all aspects of performance including voice, movement, improvisation, stagecraft, script analysis, character development, monologue and scene work. Students develop their own creativity, authenticity, and confidence, earning AYA a reputation in the industry for training young professionals. We cultivate relationships with acting and casting agents, theatre companies and training institutions seeking young performers. We are looking for motivated young actors who want a challenge, working and playing alongside like-minded peers.
Classes are grouped by age and maturity, and class sizes are limited to ensure individual attention. Each student's progress and artistic development is nurtured in a collaborative and supportive environment. AYA graduates have gone on to professional careers in acting, tertiary study at NY University, Yale, Paris Institute of the Arts, as well as Toi Whakaari, Unitec, and The Actors’ Program. To find out more about the school and pass on to your students check out the AYA Drama School website.
Auditions will be held at TAPAC on Saturday, 12th February, 2022 and applications are open now. APPLY HERE Please share this info with any young actors-in-the-making you may know.
