Alice Connolly is an actor and producer from Christchurch, currently based in Auckland. She is co-director of Horse bite, an award-winning theatre and film production company, with her partner, Finnius Teppett. She co-produced the hit feature film The Weed Eaters (dir. Callum Devlin, 2025) with Annabel Kean and Callum Devlin of Sports Team, which notably screened at festivals around the world including Adelaide FF, NZIFF, Jogja FF, Fright Fest (and more), and won Best Feature Film at SXSW Sydney, and the Jury Prize at Gérardmer Film Festival in France. Since then she produced (as Horse bite), wrote, and performed her hit comedy-theatre show, Alice May Connolly’s BOX, described as “a bonkers heartbreaker of a solo masterpiece”, (Gemma Gracewood). It premiered at the NZ International Comedy Festival 2025, with additional seasons at NZ Fringe 2026 where it won the Adelaide Tour Ready Award, and Nelson Fringe 2026 where she won Best in the Fest, and Spirit of the Fringe.

As an actor she was cast as the lead in David White’s quirky rural comedy, This Town, as a major supporting character in Daffodils alongside Rose McIver, and has amassed a diverse range of roles and experiences on US and NZ productions, notably appearing in the first season of Netflix’s apocalyptic hit series, Sweet Tooth alongside UK powerhouse Adeel Akhtar, as Mia Goth’s performance double in Ti West’s X, and in Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi’s satirical mockumentary, Wellington Paranormal. More recently she has appeared in television series' The Gone, Far North, and Shortland Street, and of course as one of the leads in feature film, The Weed Eaters.

Additionally, she is an acting coach for children on screen, having coached lead performances in the short films, Rice Run, and Close.

She regularly performs in Auckland with improv troupe, Bull Rush.
